Celebrating Spark, and Gathering Around Camp Fire
Thanks to all who were able to join us for the biggest Camp Fire party of the year. We had a great time and want to share #Spark2017 with everyone, whether you were able to make it in person or not!
Youth Leaders At The Helm
Highlights from the evening included youth leaders who took the stage with their sparks. They inspired the crowd with their confidence, leadership, and passion for Camp Fire.
Check out the video below to hear more from one of our youth leaders, Ashe. She’s a middle school student who has been in Camp Fire for 3 years now, and is also a member of our Youth Advisory Committee. Ashe shares with us how Camp Fire feels like a family to her, and provides a safe place where she has grown to become an even stronger youth leader.
“Camp Fire feels like a family. It is a happy place…and life is hard sometimes and you need a happy place.” – Ashe
Event Photos
Photography was a theme at the event, including a silent auction of featured youth photography from a collaboration with Portland’s Artist Laureate, Julie Keefe. We were also fortunate to have two roaming youth photographers at the event, as well as photography by Phototainment Portland and Andie Petkus.
