With Spark around the corner, we are collaborating with youth on what Sparks will fly with Camp Fire.

Meet: Kendama Club

Kendama, a Japanese toy meaning “sword” and “ball” provides an opportunity for the young and old of Camp Fire to practice focus, patience, and mindfulness.

Clubs create a culture of collaboration and participation here at Camp Fire.

Since Kendama club started, 5th-grade students are hanging out and sharing skills with 2nd-grade students, many are coming out of their shell, and our community is circling up and sharing each other’s successes.

We’re getting ready to show you a few tricks! A few basic Kendama tricks are “big cup” or “little cup,” but can you “ken flip” or “down spike?” Let’s find out at #Spark2018!
