Victoria Mickelsen

Before and After School Program Specialist, Cedaroak Park Primary

Victoria was born and grew up in Kiev, Ukraine, moved to USA in 2001, and now lives in Portland, Oregon. She has worked at Camp Fire’s SUN Community Schools program for two years at Mill Park Elementary school as a program assistant, and one year at Sunset Primary School, in West Linn. Victoria received a degree as Operator of Communications in Kiev, Ukraine. She finished and received a certificate of Paraprofessional training through “No Child Left Behind.” Victoria has also taken accounting classes at Mt. Hood Community College. She has been working in Menlo Park Elementary school since 2004 as bilingual liaison/instructional assistant. Victoria has also worked in an ESL program for many years with non-speaking English students and families. She has over 12 years extensive work experience with students from Kindergarten to fifth grade to provide help with different assessments and projects in regular classrooms, small groups, and for individuals. Victoria is very excited to teach Camp Fire children new skills in crafting and other fun activities. She is patient and passionate to support student success. In her free time Victoria enjoys crafting, knitting, sewing, reading books or magazines, hiking in the forest, boating on the river, playing board games and outside games with her family members, going to the beach and watch the ocean waves.
