About Sam

This is Sam’s second year as Lead Site Instructor and she is looking forward to building an even stronger community at Peninsula. She appreciates the connections a Before and After School program can create for students.

When she’s not at work, Sam is typically outside! She especially likes hiking, archery, and cloud watching or stargazing.

Past Experience

This past summer, Sam was an Assistant Site Supervisor at Namanu Day Camp in the City. She has been working at residential camps, after school programs, and day camps since 2011, including Camp Shaw-waw-nas-see and Trackers Earth Day Camp. Her experience includes teaching wilderness survival skills and a how-to for making your own bow drill kit.

Education

She completed her associate’s degree in General Studies, and can’t wait to earn her bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Leadership.
