Kimmy was raised in Hood River, a small tourist town up the beautiful Columbia Gorge. She moved to Portland when she graduated high school two years ago. She has been working at Camp Namanu for the last three years and taking classes at Portland Community College for a year to begin her Elementary Education degree.
Having long history with Camp Namanu, her grandmother, aunt, and mom all went there with this last summer being her eleventh year at camp.
She highly values children and want nothing more than to create confident, creative kiddos and strives to give those she works with a program that they can be proud of and excited to go to by making sure she is as equally engaged as they are.
In her free time, Kimmy enjoys soccer and plays for an indoor recreational soccer team. She also loves a good book- if you have any recommendations, please let her know! Her absolute passion is traveling and she is working towards a three month trip to France.
