Kimmy was raised in Hood River, a small tourist town up the beautiful Columbia Gorge. She moved to Portland when she graduated high school in 2016. She has been working at Camp Namanu for the last four years and taking classes at Portland Community College toward a degree in Elementary Education.
She holds a long history with Camp Namanu. Her grandmother, aunt, and mom all attended camp and were Camp Fire kids. Her last summer was her twelfth summer at Namanu.
She highly values children and want nothing more than to create confident, creative kiddos and strives to give those she works with a program that they can be proud of and excited to go to by making sure she is as equally engaged as they are. Working on clubs within the program is her favorite part of her work day.
In her free time, Kimmy likes to take walks and explore places around her.
