About Katherine

Katherine is the newest addition to the Creative Science team as Site Supervisor. She brings experiential learning practices and outdoor education to our Before and After School Programs. She believes it is part of her responsibility as an educator and mentor to support a youth’s opportunity to choose interests, develop their voice, and pursue their inner passions.

Katherine moved to Portland in 2016 from Humboldt County and has been enjoying kayaking, running with her dog, cooking, going for long hikes that conclude with waterfalls, adventuring in the snow on old forest service roads, going to monthly comedy shows, and doing the cool, new things this big city has to offer.
