About Jennifer

Jennifer is the Site Supervisor of Sunset Primary School in the Before and After School Program. Jennifer brings a lot of excitement to the program’s students and staff. Jennifer has always loved working with kids and she is excited to find a career where she can continue doing what she loves!

“My favorite part of working with kids is what I like to call the ‘lightbulb moments.’ When a youth works on mastering a skill, whether they’ve been trying for 3 minutes or 3 years, that is the most rewarding thing in the world to me. When that skill suddenly clicks, the pride and joy on their face is priceless. It’s the reason I do what I do.”

Originally from Salem, Jennifer moved to Portland in 2017. In her spare time, she plays a lot of disc golf. On that note: she recently went to the Amateur World Championships and took 3rd in mixed doubles and 5th in women’s division! Jennifer also enjoys to¬†swim, knit, scrapbook and be crafty.

Jennifer has worked for camps and other youth recreation programs for the last 14 years. Her experience includes 13 years as a lifeguard and swim instructor.
