Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Grace graduated from Lewis & Clark College with a BA in English and began working in the Portland Public Schools shortly thereafter – first at Jefferson High School and then Lane Middle School. She returned to the Bay Area spending the next six years working in the outdoor and experiential education fields—most recently as the Outdoor Programs Manager for the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy’s youth leadership and engagement hub, the Crissy Field Center. While there, Grace led multiple teams dedicated to providing equitable access and positive first-time camping experiences to over 12,000 youth each year.
She is thrilled to be back in Portland and to join the Camp Fire Columbia team. Grace is excited to have the opportunity to resume working in the Portland Public Schools and further her long-standing commitment to youth engagement, diversity, equity and the environment. An avid runner in her free time, she can usually be found running in Forest Park, across the St John’s bridge, or throughout one of Oregon’s many beautiful outdoor spaces.
