This is Amy’s third year working at Camp Fire! She is excited to be back at Fernwood creating and engaging with old and new faces. Amy loves crafting, soccer, creative writing and animals and hopes to incorporate all those things into exciting new clubs this year. She has a BA in Anthropology from Portland State and has been working with children in various settings for over ten years. Prior to working at Camp Fire, Amy was a preschool teacher for two years as well as a soccer instructor for little kids. This past summer she was an instructor at our West Linn Day Camp program. In addition to working at Fernwood, Amy also volunteers weekly at Pinball Outreach Project, a non-profit dedicated to helping children through the game of Pinball! She is a lover of animals and recently adopted a new Boston terrier puppy, who you will certainly hear all about at some point in the year. Outside of Camp Fire, Amy enjoys attending Timbers games with her husband, petting dogs, crafts of all kinds, and playing board games with friends. She also is an aunt to three nieces and a nephew that inspire her to work with youth!
