PORTLAND — The Camp Fire Columbia board of directors has named Emily Gilliland as chief executive officer, effective Dec. 1.
For the past 18 years, Gilliland has served in diverse leadership and management roles, most recently as the executive director of HandsOn Network, a Points of Light enterprise that inspires, equips and mobilizes volunteer commitment and community impact in 220 communities across the United States.
Gilliland’s career has focused on education, leadership development and community service. As executive director of HandsOn Network for the past two years, she was responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of resources to support organizational development, programming, branding and communications within a vast network of volunteer organizations in the United States and around the globe. Collectively, the network engages 1.8 million volunteers in community service efforts.
