Camp Namanu thrives on the excellent volunteers who join us to help each summer. This summer we are seeking volunteers to help at the new camp store, enhance existing program by leading stargazing or outdoor cooking, etc., help with check in or check out and more! All 2017 volunteers must attend an orientation before helping on-site when campers are present.

This new training will include an overview of Camp Fire’s volunteer expectations, personnel policy, an introduction to Growth Mindset, and safety procedures. We will also discuss other ways volunteers can get involved with Camp Fire and Camp Namanu during the year. Volunteers will also submit paperwork for a mandatory background check. You can download a copy of the background check authorization form here.

Even if you have been a longtime Namanu volunteer, you must attend this training once every three years to help at camp when children are on-site during the summer. (This training is not needed to attend Service Weekends, or other Camp Namanu volunteer events where children are present with their parents or gurdians.)

The training will take place during the Friends of Namanu meeting at June Service Weekend. More details here.
