programs-yvcThe Youth Volunteer Corps of Camp Fire Columbia focuses on promoting a lifetime commitment to service among youth as well as developing critical job skills for future employment by offering volunteer service projects for youth ages 11 to 18. YVC programming is offered on Saturdays, after school, in school, and during the summer. YVC of Camp Fire Columbia is one of nearly 40 affiliates of Youth Volunteer Corps, which has headquarters in Kansas City. For 27 years YVC has engaged young people from diverse backgrounds in service projects helping the community. Nearly 7,292 youth served 151,505 hours throughout the YVC network of affiliates during the last program year.

Goals:

1. Engage youth in rewarding service projects that are challenging, rewarding, and educational
2. Serve the needs of our local community
3. Give young people an appreciation for the diversity in our community
