Family Night photo booth at Cedaroak Park Primary

Family Nights and Showcases are celebrations for Camp Fire kids to showcase their “sparks.” They display their talents through their various student-led clubs that happen each week during program. Families gather over community dinner and connect with Camp Fire staff, and each other.

Some of these clubs include Colorful Chemistry at Creative Science, Scrappy Art at Sunset, Wiggle Club at Woodlawn, and Rainbows Aren’t Magic from Sunnyside, just to name a few.

“The showcase nights mean so much to the kids because they get to share their world with us. They have the chance to dance and show off and point themselves out in the slideshow. They get to be the stars of something big that also just feels like home to them. We get to see them with the Camp Fire folks they love so dearly and eat together as a community.” – Camp Fire parent from Creative Science

Camp Fire kids at Creative Science showed off some of their moves with their Hip-Hop Dance Club performance.

Camp Fire is truly magical!

Students at Sunnyside treated their families to an ongoing magic show! Throughout the night, Camp Fire kids displayed sleight of hand, card and rope tricks. Check out this trick from one of the Camp Fire magicians!

At Camp Fire, students are able to use their voices, deepen their leadership skills, and discover who they are. These event nights are opportunities for families to gather together in community over food and share stories. They can watch a performance, and get to see students “sparks” in action. Camp Fire is making a difference in our communities, and we need your help.

  • Connect – We are always looking for organizations or groups to collaborate for service-learning opportunities for student projects and clubs. From interactive outdoor service to small indoors projects, there’s something for everyone!
  • Engage – Mark your calendar for our upcoming events, like Spark, where you can see youth sparks in action. Tickets are on sale, and we are also looking for volunteers to help us make this event a huge success for our biggest event of the year.
  • Give Back: Your donations help us to fulfill our promise – providing young people with the opportunity to find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are.
