Our School Year Programs partner with schools and families to strengthen student achievement and help youth of all ages achieve their goals. Our School Year Programs follow two models: Those that partner with schools to extend the learning day for students and our community-based Classic Club Program.
Camp Fire keeps over 1,400 students learning, safe, and exploring in our before-school, after-school, and in-school programs at school sites. We partner with over 20 primarily under-resourced schools to provide students of all grades with:
- Academic support
- Leadership opportunities
- Experiential learning
- Community engagement
These programs are shown to increase student achievement and develop essential youth assets like confidence, motivation, and feelings of connectedness to their peers, school, and community. We place a special emphasis on reaching our community’s most vulnerable youth—you’ll find our programs in 20 percent of all Title 1 schools in Multnomah County. These programs include Elementary School (Community Schools and Before & After School), Middle School, and High School programs.
Classic Clubs are volunteer-led community based small groups that engage boys and girls ages 3-18 in experiential learning, service, and traditional Camp Fire programming. To find the nearest age appropriate group contact the Classic Club Coordinator.
