Maya is super excited to be back at Woodlawn for a second year and very happy to be with the Camp Fire family for her fourth year. She is a warm, compassionate, and energetic teacher, who loves to incorporate her passions for outdoor education, STEM, and movement into her program. You will often see Maya leading a silly repeat-after-me song, breaking out into random song and dance, or reading aloud an adventurous story book. This year she hopes to further empower her students’ curiosity and self-development through more student leadership opportunities. When Maya isn’t at Camp Fire, she loves to create delicious meals with her friends and family, take West African dance classes, and hopes to spend lots of time in nature.
