About Crystal

As Vice President of Development & Communications, Crystal is responsible for expanding support and visibility of the outstanding work of Camp Fire Columbia. She is a native of NE Portland, and has lived and worked in the Portland community her entire life. Prior to joining Camp Fire, Crystal worked for 10 years on behalf of Portland State University, focused primarily on raising scholarship funds in the School of Social Work, Graduate School of Education, and College of Urban & Public Affairs. In addition to her time at PSU, she has experience working in community organizing, political advocacy, and healthcare management.

Outside of work, Crystal enjoys cooking, gardening, and getting outside to enjoy the Pacific Northwest. She volunteers with the Community Alliance of Tenants, McKenzie River Gathering Foundation, and is personally invested in issues related to poverty, equity and social justice, and education.

One of the many reasons Crystal was inspired to join the Camp Fire team is that she has a great passion for making this community a place where all children can find their spark. At Camp Fire that work is happening every day, if you have a story about your Camp Fire experience, be sure to stop and share it with her!
