About Cecelia

Cecelia is delighted to return to Sunnyside Camp Fire for a second year! With a B.A. in Performing Arts & Social Justice, Cecelia brings over six years of experience with youth development programs. In her hometown of Seattle, she taught at ArtsWest’s Musical Theater Academy. In San Francisco, Cecelia facilitated arts-based service learning at De Marillac Academy, and taught life skills through theater to at-risk youth at John Muir Elementary and Cobb Elementary. She moved to Portland to work as the SUN Site Assistant at Ron Russell SUN School, after completing a year of AmeriCorps service as the Education Activity Coordinator at the Shiloh Foster Home in Montana. Cecelia is eager to dig into teaching social justice and leadership to the ceaselessly amazing SES kids. When she isn’t studying for one of her Speech Language Pathology classes, she loves to play ukulele and violin, unleash her inner dancing queen, and go on bike adventures!
