Brie was born and raised in Pinetop, Arizona. After graduating from high school, she moved to Bellingham, WA to attend Western Washington University. In 2013, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Western Washington University. Brie has volunteered for various non-profits since high school in mentoring roles. As a Health Educator for United General Hospital, she coordinated a summer literacy and outdoor education program for 1-5 grade students and taught nutrition education for K-6 students in three elementary schools. After moving to Portland in 2014, Brie worked as a Program Instructor for Metropolitan Family Services and GoGirGo Instructor for the Beaverton Hoop YMCA before joining the Camp Fire Team this year. Brie is excited to share her passion for cooking, sustainability, and community involvement with the kids this year. Brie loves to spend her free time exploring with her friends, family, and dog, Mr. Beefy.
