Alex was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. He has eight years of experience working in the education field and believes every child deserves an equal education. Alex’s teaching goals are to encourage seeking answers, stimulate student involvement, increase self-esteem and build leaders. Believing students learn best from teachers they revere, he feels mutual respect in the classroom is vital for success. This will be Alex’s third year with Camp Fire Columbia. He is very excited to be returning this year and is looking forward to another great year. In his free time, Alex enjoys outings with friends, reading, coffee, game nights, live music, going for walks or jogs, movies, theater, exploring and camping. His favorite hobbies are sketching and architecture.
Alex attended Arizona State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies, Law and Society and a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning. Alex is currently working towards a second master’s degree in education with a science and ESOL endorsement.
